Climb the Saxon St. George’s Tower, delve underground into the 900-year-old Crypt, explore the prison wing and complete interactive activities including pulling the hangman’s lever! This one hour experience is led by a character tour guide who can cater to your group’s interest and level of English comprehension.
Join a tour guide to explore the castle buildings on a 30 minute Outside Tour including the punishment cells PLUS climb the ancient castle motte to enjoy an incredible view of the city’s famous dreaming spires. NEW for 2017, an activity sheet will extend your visit and encourage your pupils to solve the questions from information provided on signposts around the castle site. Selfie opportunities and plenty of social media engagement will ensure each pupil remains invested in the tasks.
An evening activity for your group. Oxford Shakespeare Festival returns to the Castle this summer, with four of the Bard’s most well known and loved productions brought to life in the historic castleyard.
