Design Our Flag! New competition for schools

Budding artists of all ages are invited to enter our special competition.  St George’s Tower needs a new flag and Oxford Castle Unlocked would like your students to design it.  The design must be about Oxford Castle in some way.  For example:

• a story from the history of the Castle
• one of Oxford Castle’s colourful characters
• what Oxford Castle means to you

The winning entry will be made into a flag and raised at the top of St George’s Tower for all of Oxford to see.  The best entries will also be on display at the Oxford Castle site for Oxford City Art Weeks 12 – 20 May 2012.  The deadline is Friday 20 April 2012.  Call 01865 260668 for more details.

Terms and Conditions

• Artwork should be no larger than A4 size or can be emailed as a jpeg, tif or bmp file.
• Send entries to: Learning and Access Officer, Oxford Castle Unlocked, 44-46 Oxford Castle, Oxford OX1 1AY or education@oxfordcastleunlocked.co.uk
• The following details must be included with entries: artist’s name, age, school name, teacher’s name, school contact details.
• The closing date for entries is Friday 20 April 2012.  The judges’ decision is final.
• Oxford Castle Unlocked reserves the right to publish and use competition entries for publicity purposes.
