Bugs Alive Creepy Crawls its way to Oxford Castle - Unlocked

As a 1000-year-old former prison, Oxford Castle – Unlocked is no stranger to bugs and all things creepy crawly. This February half term, from Saturday 11 to Sunday 19 February, get up close to a selection of the world’s most unusual and fascinating creatures when ‘Bugs Alive’ worms its way up to Oxford Castle – Unlocked. On select days, some of the world’s most peculiar species will be on display, including terrifying tarantulas, massive Madagascan hissing cockroaches, giant African millipedes and an Emperor Scorpion.

The week’s activities include a picture bug trail through the ancient castle and prison, discovering which bugs would have kept the prisoners company during their stay. Children can also get creative, designing bugs of their own as part of a range of arts and crafts available in the prison gallery.
