A key historical expert has confirmed that Oxford Castle is the site where Geoffrey of Monmouth penned the famous Historia Regum Britanniae, regarded as the origin of the Legends of King Arthur.
Oxford Castle Unlocked will welcome seven talented amateur photographers from the Oxford Photographic Society (OPS) to exhibit their work during Artweeks from 4 May onwards.
The Painted Rooms will open for one week only from Tuesday 23 April, when the public will have access to see the historic 16th century wall paintings, and hear the stories of Shakespeare’s times in Oxford.
